Unfortunately, the breeding between Katie and Doc for the litter of puppies that were to be whelped on 10/30/24 did not take. Therefore, Katie and Doc will be rebred when Katie comes into heat again in March of 2025. At present we do not have any puppies for sale.
The breeding in March 2025 will be the second try at breeding Doc x Katie and we still believe it will produced some amazingly talented puppies capable of following in the footsteps of both parents. Both Katie and Doc are used as ranch dogs on angus farms as well as great family dogs and are used in competing in stock trials.
Doc is from the Twin Oaks Ranch of Galt, CA,. He is currently working on the Collins Angus Ranch in Fruitland, Idaho. He is the owned by Tom Collins and is the foundation sire at Diamond C Aussies.
Doc is truly talented with many accolades under his belt. Doc has already won Most Promising Aussie in a trial and made a statement at the 2021 ASCA Nationals by placing first in cattle, third in ducks and fourth in sheep in the Open class. He has since won several more High in Trials as well as High Combined, including winning the High Combined open at the 2022 Nationals. The 2023 Nationals / Finals brought more success, with a High Combined Non-WTCH win in both the Pre-trial as well as Nationals. He made the cut for Finals finishing 4th in Cattle and 11th in Sheep.
Doc is out of GCHSHOF Sliding S Land’s End Sure Shot “Oakley”, she was the 2016 and 2019 Cattle Finals Champion as well as one of only four Supreme champion stockdogs in the history of ASCA. Doc’s sire is HOF WTCH Twin Oaks Double M the Vin Man ”Vinny” 2014 Cattle Finals Champion in his own right.
In 2024 Doc was ASCA’s Finals Cattle Champion and placed 5th in Finals Sheep.
Doc is register as both ASCA and AKC.
Katie is from KMD Farms Aussies in Romance Arkansas and is owned by Kim Wise. Katie is not only a family dog but a strong cattle dog with lots of power and speed when needed. Katie earned her open trial dog title in cattle, ducks and sheep under the training and guidance of Jamie Burns of Whitesboro Texas.
Katie’s breeding is a very recognizable “old time” pedigree. Her breeding is that of ASCA Hall of Fame Excellent Working Aussie Stockdogs Slash V Kennels which is located in Bryan Texas. This kennel for the last 60 years has produced dogs suitable for almost any stock work. Slash V Kennels is know worldwide and considers itself a caregiver of the Austrian Shepherd breed and strongly promotes the use of its versatile dogs on farms and ranches.
This upcoming litter between Doc and Katie should produce some very talented individuals capable of being used as every day ranch dogs as well as competing in stock trial competitions just as both their parents.
