Puppies whelped November 16th! 2 female and 6 male, blue Merle’s and black bi’s.
Lottie is a great all around chore dog. She has great natural read of stock and balance. She is extremely biddable and a good natured dog. She has worked sheep, goats, ducks, and cattle. She also had a great start in her trial career this year, earning her STDcs and OTDs.

Sagecreek Inspired To Be Blu or Boo for short was sired by Slash V Deacon, a strong, top notch dog, whose primary using job was moving feedlot cattle. I was a great admirer of his grit, instinct, and thinking ability. I always thought Boo’s dam, Sagecreek On The Brazos, call name Bounce, was the best bitch my old using/trial dog Billy ever produced. Billy was my yardstick for excellence and he rolls down in the pedigree of all my dogs that came along later. How to describe Boo! Boo is strong, unusually instinctive, willing and very biddable. Boo is kind to his stock but doesn’t back down to a challenge. He is an excellent using dog, responding to a whisper and especially good at figuring out what I am trying to do even if I am not explaining it very well. He searches for and gathers sheep and calves out of a 15 acre pasture plus various types of normal chore work. Despite not being trial trained he has with few trials his ATD in cattle and sheep. However poultry is a different story because he lives in a pen with laying hens and he is not real sure they should be messed with. I think he has his OTD in ducks and could finish easily but he would spend his time in the duck pen being obedient while looking for sheep or cattle to work. Boo is one of the best all around dogs I have ever worked. This said Boo responds will and easily to a kind and fair touch. He has no problem with stock but he is not a dog to tolerate handler mistreatment.
