Unfortunately the breeding for the litter of puppies due on 10/30/24 we are sorry to say did not take. Therefore, in March of 2025 we will be breeding Doc and Katie again. Hopefully this second breeding will take and should produced some amazingly talented pups that should be capable of following in the footsteps of both parents whether it be working on an angus farm or competing in stock dog trials.
Doc is truly talented with many accolades under his belt. Doc has already won Most Promising Aussie in a trial and made a statement at the 2021 ASCA Nationals by placing first in cattle, third in ducks and fourth in sheep in the Open class. He has since won several more High in Trials as well as High Combined, including winning the High Combined open at the 2022 Nationals. 2023 Nationals / Finals brought more success, with a High Combined Non-WTCH win in both the Pre-trial as well as Nationals. He made the cut for Finals finishing 4th in Cattle and 11th in Sheep. Doc is out of HOF Oakley, one of only four Supreme champion stockdogs and HOF Vinny a Finals cattle champion in his own right.
In 2024 Doc won the ASCA Championship Nationals in the cattle division and placed 5th in the sheep division.
Katie is a strong cattle dog with lots of power and speed when needed. Under the guidance and training of Jamie McIntosh Burns in Whitesboro Texas, Katie has earned her open trial dog title in cattle, ducks and sheep.
Katie’s breeding is that of the Slash V Kennels Hall Of Fame Excellent Kennel working Aussie stock dogs. For the last 60 years Slash V Kennels has produced dogs suitable for almost any stock work. This kennel considers itself a caregiver of the breed and strongly promotes the use of its versatile dogs on farms and ranches.
Both dogs work on angus farms in everyday life and have an amazing presence with lots of power to work both heads and heels as the need arises.
This litter should produce working dogs that can work on the ranch as well as compete in stock dog trials.
